Channel Listings
Summary
Channel listings are channel-specific records built from product variants that move through a build, link, sync, and publish lifecycle to reach your sales channels.
Listings are channel-specific records built from your product variants. Like product variants, listing variants carry their own content, pricing, and quantity, so you can meet channel-specific requirements such as marketplace categories. “Listings” covers both listing parents and variants.
- Build: create listings from product variants for a specific channel, with channel-specific content.
- Link: connect a listing to its matching external item on the sales channel.
- Sync: keep pricing and quantity aligned between Flxpoint and the channel.
- Publish / Overwrite: create a new listing on the channel, or overwrite an existing one’s static content.
To improve inventory visibility, you can use the Source Name quick filter within the Listings grid UI. This control allows you to quickly isolate listings based on the specific source supplying the inventory, making it easier to manage multi-source product data and identify which warehouse or supplier is linked to a particular channel listing.
Listings move through a lifecycle. Each stage has its own guide.
- Build: turn product variants into channel listings.
- Link: connect listings to external channel items by SKU, UPC, MPN, or ASIN.
- Sync: push pricing and quantity updates on a schedule or on demand.
- Publish / Overwrite: create new listings, or overwrite static content such as titles, images, and descriptions.
Listing Status Workflows automate listing actions with IF/THEN rules per channel (open the channel, click the gear, then Listing Status → Add Rule). For example, a brand that cannot be sold on a channel can be delisted automatically.
Example rule: IF Listing Parent Equals a given brand, THEN Delist. Other automations include hiding, unhiding, publishing, and delisting by brand or channel.
What is the difference between linking and publishing?
Linking connects a listing to an item that already exists on the channel. Publishing creates a brand-new listing on the channel. Overwriting updates an existing listing’s static content.
Why didn’t my product content change flow to the channel?
Product content on a listing is a snapshot. Rebuild the listing to pull the latest product content, then publish or overwrite.
Where do I check a listing’s state?
Each listing has a color-coded status icon that shows its health and linking status.
How does the Auto-List to Channel setting work?
This setting automatically sets auto-created listings to a publish status and sends updated data for auto-rebuilt listings. For this to function, you must ensure the Publish Listings job is active on a schedule. Additionally, the list price protection setting ensures that listings are not published or updated if the list price does not meet your defined criteria (such as being less than or equal to cost).
