Resellers

July 20, 2026

Summary

A reseller is an individual B2B customer who signs up, goes through approval, gets assigned to a reseller channel, and can have reseller-specific payment capturing and invoicing rules plus their own API key.

A reseller is an individual B2B customer. They sign up and go through approval (automatic or manual), get assigned to a reseller channel, and can have reseller-specific payment capturing and invoicing rules. Each reseller also has an API key and their own orders view.

  • Status lifecycle: Pending, Approved or Denied, then Active on first order.
  • Channel assignment: assign each reseller to the channel that sets their rules.
  • Payment and invoicing: per-reseller if/then rules for capture and invoicing.
  • API access: a key resellers use for API or Inventory Source order automation.
StatusMeaning
PendingNew enrollment awaiting your decision (unless auto-approve is on)
Approved / DeniedYour decision, set from within the reseller record
ActiveSet automatically once the reseller places their first order (portal, API, or Inventory Source)
SettingWhat it does
Reseller ChannelAssigns the reseller to a channel; auto-assigned if you have only one
Payment CapturingIf/then rule to capture payment for this specific reseller
InvoicingIf/then rule for reseller-specific credits, dropship fees, and shipping costs
API AccessA key the reseller uses to access their account via your API or Inventory Source
OrdersThe reseller's orders in reseller view, with an Export option (top right)
Note: A reseller's status moves from Approved to Active automatically when they place their first order: you do not set Active manually.
Note: With auto-approve off, all new enrollments arrive as Pending for you to approve or deny. With it on, they are approved on signup.
Note: Channel invoicing sets the group default, but a per-reseller Invoicing rule lets you give one customer a different dropship fee or credit.
Note: The Reseller API Access key lets that customer send orders into your account (their own API build or Inventory Source). They see it in their reseller login under settings.
A reseller is stuck in Pending

If auto-approve is off, enrollments stay Pending until you act. Open the reseller and set the status next to their name to Approved (or Denied).

A reseller was approved but still shows as not Active

Active is set only after their first order through the portal, API, or Inventory Source. Until they order, Approved is expected.

How do I approve or deny a reseller?

Open the reseller and change the status next to their name. New enrollments are Pending unless auto-approve is enabled.

When does a reseller become Active?

Automatically, once they place their first order via the portal, Flxpoint API, or Inventory Source.

Can I give one reseller a special dropship fee?

Yes: set a per-reseller Invoicing if/then rule for credits, dropship fees, or shipping costs specific to that customer.

What is the reseller API key for?

It lets the reseller send orders into your Flxpoint account: used for their own API build or the Inventory Source order automation service. They find it in their reseller login settings.

How do I export a reseller's orders?

Open the reseller, go to the Orders section in reseller view, and click Export in the top right.
