Overview
Rebuilding products will overwrite all product data by re-running the building process with the currently linked inventory variants.
Some of the most common reasons for a rebuild are:
- Product(s) didn't build the way you expected
- Product variant(s) content needs to be updated because new inventory variant(s) have been linked
- Source provides updated data or new data points have recently been imported into Flxpoint
Instructions & Tutorials
To initiate a rebuild you will:
- Select the product variant(s) to rebuild
- Click Actions from the Products tab (not the Inventory tab)
- Click Re-Build Product(s)
After you click Re-Build Products, a flyout will appear to give you the following options:
- Re-Build using the original builder and mapping template?: Flxpoint will remember and use the builder and mapping template used from the most recent (re)build
- Select a specific builder & mapping template: Create, edit, or select an existing builder or mapping template
- Re-Build Parents As Well?: When checked, the product parent associated with the product variants will also be rebuilt.
Flxpoint Pro Tip |
"Re-Build using the original builder and mapping template..." doesn't mean we will use the original fields and values from the builder or template. If there have been modifications to the build since the product was built, those changes will be present in the rebuilt product. Automatically define the conditions product rebuilding should occur by configuring Rebuild Settings (Automate When To Rebuild). |
