Overview
Tagging is the ability to add a label to something, typically a product or order, to reference and organize your data.
Searching for Tagged Items |
To find tagged items, apply the filter called "Tags" and search for the tag (see Filters). |
Adding and Removing Tags
On most pages that allow searching and filtering, you can usually apply tags as well. There are three ways to add and remove tags from products: group, individually tag, and bulk upload.
Grouping
Grouping allows you to filter down and select all the items that you want to tag/untag. There are 3 actions you can take when grouping and tagging:
- Add will apply the tag to the item
- Remove will remove specific tags
- Clear All will remove all tags
Individually Tagging
Individually tagging allows you to directly apply a tag when viewing an item.
Bulk Upload
Bulk upload allows you to tag multiple items at once by uploading a file. To do so:
- Go to Actions→ Import → Tags
- Choose CSV file: this should consist of at least a unique identifier that can be referenced in the product data (i.e. SKU or UPC)
- Map ID field - map the column header from the file to the "To ID Field" (aka the unique identifier being referenced in the file)
- Select or create tags: either manually select the tags you want to add, or create tags based on values mapped from the uploaded file
