Import Listings

Limited Availability

Active Channels: Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, BigCommerce & Magento

The data you are able to import varies by sales channel. Please see channel specific docs for further details.

Note: Import Listings is visible on all channels, however, only the channels outlined above support this integration.

Importing Listings for the First Time

When importing listings for the first, we recommend beginning with your sales websites versus a marketplace such as Amazon.

In most cases, your sales website houses the most thorough product data, and Flxpoint can import this product data into the system. Marketplaces, on the other hand, typically offer less product data and will limit the information Flxpoint can import into the system.

Overview

The import listings integration allows you to import active listings on your sales channels into Flxpoint.

Import listings will import products in the following status:

  • Active, published products
  • Hidden products
  • Import listings will not import products in an archived or inactive state.

When a listing is imported, the following data is transferred:

  • Quantity & Pricing (at the time of the import)
  • Attributes & Options
  • Images, Brands, Categories, & Descriptions

You will see empty fields if any these data points do not exist on your sales channel.

Once the import listings job is complete, you will see imported listings at the channel listings level and imported products at the product catalog level.

Manual Integration

The import listings integration cannot be scheduled. You will need to manually run the import listings integration when you want to import listings.

Configuration

Potential Listings Duplication

Import listings will only link Flxpoint's SKU to Channel's SKU.

Mismatched SKUs will result in duplicate listings and products.

Linking to Flxpoint channel listings and product catalog based on ASIN, GTIN, MPN, or UPC is not supported.

Set New Listings to Paused:

  • If enabled, this setting will automatically set all newly imported listings to a Paused status.
  • When a listing is paused, the listing is frozen and will not be synced or published using Flxpoint (even if queued).
  • Pausing newly imported listings allows you to connect your imported listings to sources before orders flow into Flxpoint.
  • If you choose to enable this setting, you will need to manually unpause the imported listings when you are ready to do so. You can unpause the listings by clicking Actions → Edit → Unpause as shown below:

Setting Your Master SKU

  • Select from two options: Use a field from my channel or Don't set master SKU at this time
  • Use a field from my channel: You will be prompted to select from the default options for your channel type (i.e. Shopify, Amazon, Magento).
  • Don't set a master SKU at this time: If you choose to set your Master SKUs at a later time, you will need to set the Master SKU manually or in bulk using the Import Master SKUs tool. For more information, see: Master SKU & Channel Listings

Advanced Settings

Listing Management:

  • Applies to listings at the Channel Listings level in Flxpoint.
  • Select from two options: Create Only or Create & Overwrite Existing
  • Create Only: Sales Channel listings will be imported and linked to existing Flxpoint listings based on SKU. If there is not a SKU match to an existing Flxpoint listing, a new listing will be created.
  • Create & Overwrite Existing: Sales Channel listings will be imported and linked to existing Flxpoint listings based on SKU. For all SKU matches, the listing data in Flxpoint will be overwritten by the imported Sales Channel listing data. If there is not a SKU match to an existing Flxpoint listing, a new listing will be created.
Mapping Template

For this integration, a mapping template is not required. Flxpoint will determine where to route the imported listings data automatically.

Due to this, no post-mapping workflow rules can be applied to the import listings job.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I choose which products I can import from my sales channel?

No. Flxpoint will import all products in an active, published, or hidden status.

Tip: You may opt to place unwanted products in an archived or inactive status to prevent Flxpoint from importing the products.

2. What happens if I already have products and listings in Flxpoint?
When importing listings from your sales channel, Flxpoint will scan for matches to existing Flxpoint listings and products based on SKU. If a SKU match is not found, a new listing or product will be created.
3. Where is the mapping template? Do I need to configure a mapping template?
No. A mapping template is not required for the import listings integrations. Flxpoint routes the imported listings data to the appropriate fields automatically.
4. Can I apply any rules to the import listings job?
No. Since import listings does not operate on a mapping template, post-mapping workflow rules are not supported.
5. I imported my listings, but now I'm seeing duplicates? What happened?
Since Flxpoint matches imported listings on SKU, any variation in SKU will cause a duplicate listing/product to be created.
