Connecting Your Primary Sales Channel

In Flxpoint, channels represent all sales channels in Flxpoint. Channels are used to:

  • Link and sync product data, pricing, quantity, and status from listing variants
  • Import new sales orders
  • Sync tracking information when received from sources

Your first task in onboarding is to connect your primary sales channel. This should be the sales channel that houses the most accurate and detailed product data (i.e. your custom website or primary marketplace).

Every Channel can have integrations to connect various operations. Some of the most common operations are:

  • Import Listings: pulls current listings from your channel into Flxpoint
  • Sync Listings: syncs latest price, quantity, and status to a channel
  • Publish Listings: pushes latest product data, price, quantity, and status to a channel
  • Get Orders: receives new sales orders from a channel
  • Sync Orders: pushes latest shipments and tracking information to a channel

In this first step, you'll focus on integrating Import Listings and Get Orders.

Import Listings

The import listings integration allows you to import active listings on your sales channels into Flxpoint.

Import listings will import products in the following status:

  • Active, published products
  • Hidden products
  • Import listings will not import products in an archived or inactive state.

When a listing is imported, the following data is transferred:

  • Quantity & Pricing (at the time of the import)
  • Attributes & Options
  • Images, Brands, Categories, & Descriptions

You will see empty fields if any these data points do not exist on your sales channel.

Once the import listings job is complete, you will see imported listings at the channel listings level and imported products at the product catalog level.

Fully Connect Your Sales Channel

As you reach the final step of onboarding, it’s time to connect the remaining integrations for your primary channel. This integration is essential for automating key processes that streamline your operations, including:

  • Publishing new or updated product content to your channel
  • Syncing the latest pricing and quantity data to keep listings accurate
  • Retrieving new orders from your channel for fulfillment
  • Syncing shipments for orders that have been processed

These automated processes ensure that your inventory, orders, and product details stay up-to-date, enhancing efficiency and accuracy across your sales channels.

Channel Integrations

Channel integration automates essential tasks, such as publishing products, syncing inventory and pricing, retrieving new orders, and updating shipments. This keeps your listings and order data accurate and up-to-date across all sales channels.

Publish Listings

Publishing listings allows you to push any new product content that has changed since the last time they were published. This operation will either:

  • Create a new product if it is unlinked
  • Overwrite existing product content if it is linked to an existing listing

Sync Orders

This syncs back order data to the platform. Currently, the main functionality supported by this operation is:

  • Syncing back shipments for an order
  • Sync back an acknowledgement once the order is imported into Flxpoint (supported by some integrations)

In the future, additional order life-cycle hooks may be added.

Sync Listings

Syncing listings allows any new price, quantity, and status (PQS) changes to be synced to the external channel. Syncing does not include product content. In addition to pushing new PQS data, this operation also allows any queued actions to:

  • Delist: completely deletes the listing from the external channel
  • Hide: does not delete the listing, but hides it on the external channel (i.e., usually means not visible for purchasing)
  • Unhide: if a listing is hidden, this will unhide it so it can be purchased again

Send Accounting Orders

Through the channel integration, Flxpoint allows you to send orders from your sales channel to QuickBooks.

Custom Export Operation

The Custom Export Operation allows you to export your current sales channel listings as a CSV (Comma Separated Values) or TSV (Tab Separated Values) file.

Note: This feature is available only for Pro users and is commonly used to pass data to third-party repricing tools, such as Informed.co, for repricing Amazon listings.

This operation generates an HTTP link containing all your listings for the selected channel. You can use this link to download a file of your listings directly, which can be integrated with external software to automate pricing adjustments and other tasks.

Configuration Steps:

  • Navigate to your Sales Channel settings.
  • Find the Custom Export Operation and click Configure.
  • Select your export preferences (CSV or TSV) and save the configuration.
  • Once configured, an HTTP link will be generated for you to download the file of listings at any time.
