New User's Video Guide to Flxpoint
Summary
A five-part learning path for new Flxpoint users - Introduction, Connectors, Orders, Products, and Workflows. Explains what each part covers, the suggested order, what to prepare before connecting suppliers and channels, and why a new account can look empty at first.
This guide is a five-part learning path for getting started with Flxpoint. Each part introduces one core area of the platform, building from basic navigation up to connecting suppliers and channels, then managing your products, orders, and automated workflows. Work through the parts in order if you are new, or jump to a single topic as a refresher.
- 1Flxpoint IntroductionAn orientation to the platform: how to navigate the dashboard, where the main areas live, and the core concepts that the rest of the guide builds on. Start here if Flxpoint is new to you.
- 2Flxpoint ConnectorsHow to connect your suppliers (sources) and sales channels to Flxpoint so data can flow between them. This is the foundation for syncing products, inventory, and orders.
- 3Flxpoint OrdersHow orders come into Flxpoint from your channels and how you process and fulfill them. Covers the order lifecycle and the day-to-day order management workflow.
- 4Flxpoint ProductsHow products and variants are managed in Flxpoint, including how product data from your connected sources is organized and listed to your channels.
- 5Flxpoint WorkflowsHow to set up automated workflows that handle recurring tasks on a schedule, so routine operations run without manual intervention.
| Part | You will be ready to |
|---|---|
| Introduction | Find your way around the dashboard and understand how the pieces fit together. |
| Connectors | Connect at least one supplier and one sales channel. |
| Orders | Receive orders from a channel and process them through to fulfillment. |
| Products | Review the products coming from your sources and prepare them for your channels. |
| Workflows | Automate the routine steps so they run on a schedule. |
Connecting a supplier or channel almost always requires credentials you get from that platform — not from Flxpoint. Have the following ready before you start the Connectors part so you are not interrupted mid-setup.
Flxpoint connects securely to your suppliers and channels using the API credentials each provider issues you. Generate or locate those credentials inside the supplier or channel account first — Flxpoint does not create them for you.
Products, inventory, and order data only flow once a connector is set up. If you jump to Orders or Products before completing Connectors, those areas will look empty.
