Tagging
Summary
Tag products and orders to organize and filter your data: what tagging is, the three ways to add/remove tags, and bulk-tagging by file.
Tagging is the ability to add a label to something - typically a product or order - to reference and organize your data. On most pages that allow searching and filtering, you can usually apply tags as well.
To find tagged items, apply the filter called Tags and search for the tag.
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Grouping | Filter down and select all the items you want to tag or untag, then apply an action to the whole group. |
| Individually tagging | Directly apply a tag while viewing a single item. |
| Bulk upload | Tag multiple items at once by uploading a file. |
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Add | Applies the tag to the item. |
| Remove | Removes specific tags. |
| Clear All | Removes all tags. |
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Go to Actions β Import β Tags. |
| 2 | Choose CSV file - this should consist of at least a unique identifier that can be referenced in the product data (i.e. SKU or UPC). |
| 3 | Map ID field - map the column header from the file to the "To ID Field" (the unique identifier being referenced in the file). |
| 4 | Select or create tags - either manually select the tags you want to add, or create tags based on values mapped from the uploaded file. |
How do I find items that have a tag?
What does the CSV need for a bulk upload?
What it does
Tag filtering allows you to segment your data based on the custom labels you have applied to items. Flxpoint uses two primary comparators for tags to help you find exactly what you need: Has At Least One and Has None. These options replace the older 'Empty' and 'Not Empty' terminology to better reflect how tags function as collections.
Filter options
Filter Option | Description |
|---|---|
Has At Least One | Shows any record that has one or more tags assigned to it. Use this to find all items that have been categorized or flagged. |
Has None | Shows only records that have no tags assigned. Use this to identify items that may need new tags or have not yet been processed. |
Where to use tag filters
Tag filtering is available consistently across the platform. You can access these options by clicking the Filter icon on the following grids:
Inventory: Segment source-level inventory data.
Product Catalog: Filter your master catalog items.
Listings: Manage channel-specific product listings.
Orders: Organize and review sales orders.
Note: When you select a tag filter, the grid updates in real-time. You can combine these with other filters (like SKU, Brand, or Status) to create highly specific views of your data.
