Vendor's Guide to the Shopify App
Summary
For vendors: install the Flxpoint app in Shopify and share your Store URL and API Key to connect your store for catalog import and order fulfillment.
This guide is for a vendor connecting your Shopify store to a Flxpoint customer’s account via the Flxpoint app. Once connected, they can import your catalog and send you orders for fulfillment. You’ll install the Flxpoint app in your Shopify admin and share two credentials — your Store URL and API Key — with your Flxpoint contact.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Log in to your Shopify admin at yourstore.myshopify.com/admin. |
| 2 | Go to Settings › Apps and sales channels › Shopify App Store. |
| 3 | Search for the Flxpoint app, click Install, and review the app permissions to complete the install. |
After installing, open the “Are you a vendor authorizing a Flxpoint connection” section and click View my access keys. You’ll see two values to copy:
| Credential | What it is |
|---|---|
| Store URL | Your store address ending in .myshopify.com. |
| API Key | The key Shopify generates for the Flxpoint connection. |
Send both to your Flxpoint contact through a secure channel (encrypted email or a shared vault). Never post tokens in public channels.
The Flxpoint app connects your Shopify store to your Flxpoint user’s account using the credentials you provide. Products from your Shopify are pulled into Flxpoint, and orders created in Flxpoint can be sent to your Shopify for fulfillment. It’s a one-time setup that removes the need for manual updates.
