Ingram Micro US/CA with Etilize as a Source

July 17, 2026

Summary

Ingram Micro US/CA with Etilize combines Ingram Micro's electronics and IT distribution catalog with Etilize's enriched product content — richer descriptions, specifications, images, and attributes layered onto imported SKUs. It's available as Ingram Micro US With Etilize and Ingram Micro Canada With Etilize; no connection credentials are required since Flxpoint connects to the Etilize feed automatically, and you only choose your Etilize Package (plus optional SKU prefix and image settings) in Configure Settings. For setup or mapping guidance, contact support@flxpoint.com.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports the Ingram Micro catalog enriched with Etilize specs, attributes and images.

Ingram Micro US/CA with Etilize needs no connection setup on the connection form — Flxpoint connects to the Etilize feed automatically. Add an Ingram Micro US With Etilize or Ingram Micro Canada With Etilize source, then open Configure Settings and enter the values below, then click Save and Proceed.

Get Inventory — No Connection Setup Needed
Pre-Configured Etilize ConnectionAutomatic

Configure Settings — Required Before Get Inventory (Primary) Runs
Etilize PackageRequired
Choose the tier matching your Etilize subscription: SpexBasic (basic product specifications), SpexFLX (full specifications and rich attributes), or SpexFLX with images Add-on (full specs plus images).
SKU PrefixSet
Optional prefix Flxpoint adds to each imported SKU, useful for avoiding collisions with SKUs from other sources.
Preferred Image ResolutionSet
Choose an Etilize image resolution. Only applies with the SpexFLX with images Add-on package.
Use Thumbnail as Primary ImageSet
Toggle to use Etilize's thumbnail as your product's primary image instead of the default.
Configure Settings also includes an Archive/Un-Archive preference for products no longer in the Etilize feed. Ingram Micro US and Ingram Micro Canada with Etilize are set up as separate sources, each with its own Configure Settings, Etilize Package selection, and mapping template. For Etilize Package questions, contact your Etilize representative; for Flxpoint setup or mapping help, contact support@flxpoint.com.

The help article specifically for "Ingram Micro US/CA with Etilize" is not yet published. For full setup instructions including Etilize configuration, email support@flxpoint.com. You can reference the standard Ingram Micro US/CA article for the base FTP/API connection setup while awaiting the Etilize-specific documentation.

Etilize enriches GIP with richer product content — configured in the mapping template, not the connection

Etilize is a product content service that augments Ingram Micro catalog data with enhanced descriptions, specifications, images, and category data. The Etilize enrichment is configured within the GIP mapping template, not the Ingram Micro connection itself. The base Ingram Micro connection (FTP or API) remains the same as the standard integration.

Base connection: FTP (Basic Auth) or Ingram Micro API (Customer Number + API Token)

The underlying Ingram Micro US/CA connection supports two methods: FTP (Basic Auth) using FTP Protocol, Host, Port, User, and Password; or Ingram Micro API using Customer Number and API Token. Both connection types are compatible with the Etilize enrichment layer. Confirm with your Ingram Micro representative which access method your account is configured for.

Archive/Un-Archive can be enabled on one inventory job only — Flxpoint enforces this

Ingram Micro carries a very large electronics and IT catalog, so mass-archiving is high-impact. Flxpoint already enforces this limit: the Archive/Un-Archive setting can be enabled on only one inventory job (GIP or GIS) — you cannot enable it on both at the same time, even if you wanted to. This prevents conflicting archive states and accidental mass-archiving across product listings and channel inventory.

Looking for setup help — the dedicated doc is under review
The dedicated "Ingram Micro US/CA with Etilize" help article is currently under review and not yet published. In the meantime: (1) use the standard Ingram Micro US/CA as a Source article for base connection setup (FTP or API); (2) email support@flxpoint.com for Etilize-specific GIP mapping template configuration. Support can provide the current Etilize setup steps while the article is being finalized.

How does the Etilize enrichment differ from standard Ingram Micro GIP?
Standard Ingram Micro GIP imports product data as-is from Ingram's feed — SKU, price, quantity, and basic product fields. The Etilize-enriched version augments this with Etilize's product content layer: richer long-form descriptions, detailed specifications, additional images, and standardized category/attribute data from Etilize's database. This results in more complete product records in Flxpoint without requiring manual data entry. The Etilize configuration is handled within the GIP mapping template — contact Flxpoint Support for full setup guidance.
