Hicks Inc as a Source

July 17, 2026

Summary

Hicks Inc is a hunting, fishing, and outdoor sporting goods distributor available as a source in Flxpoint, connected using a Connection Name, Username/API Key, and Password provided by Hicks Inc. The integration runs Get Inventory (Secondary) for pricing and quantity refreshes, Send Fulfillment Requests (with automatic FFL handling for firearm items), and Get Shipments; Get Inventory (Primary) is not currently available. Hicks Inc is a separate integration from Bill Hicks & Co., so credentials are not interchangeable — for extended mapping guidance contact support@flxpoint.com.

Get Inventory (Secondary)
Imports Hicks Inc product catalog, pricing, and current quantity.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends Fulfillment Requests to Hicks Inc, including FFL info for firearms.
Get Shipments
Pulls Hicks Inc tracking numbers and ship dates back into Flxpoint.

Add a Hicks Inc source using the Source Wizard, then start configuring Get Inventory (Secondary), Send Fulfillment Requests, or Get Shipments. When Flxpoint prompts you for a connection, click + New Connection, enter your FTP Host, FTP Username, FTP Password, and FTP Port (all provided by Hicks Inc), then Test ConnectionSave Connection. The same connection is reused across all Hicks Inc operations.

FTP HostRequired
The Hicks Inc FTP server address (host), provided directly by Hicks Inc.
FTP UsernameRequired
Your Hicks Inc FTP username, provided directly by Hicks Inc — separate from any Hicks Inc dealer website or portal login.
FTP PasswordRequired
Your Hicks Inc FTP password, provided directly by Hicks Inc.
FTP PortRequired
The port for the Hicks Inc FTP connection (for example 21 for FTP or 22 for SFTP), provided by Hicks Inc.
Hicks Inc and Bill Hicks & Co. are different integrations with different connection types — confirm which supplier you're configuring before entering credentials. For extended operation setup and field mapping guidance, contact support@flxpoint.com.

Hicks Inc and Bill Hicks & Co. are two separate integrations — do not confuse credentials

Hicks Inc uses an FTP connection (FTP Host, FTP Username, FTP Password, and FTP Port that you supply) and is a separate integration from Bill Hicks & Co. (which uses hardcoded FTP credentials for GIP/GIS plus a Customer ID for order operations). Credentials for one cannot be used with the other. Confirm which supplier you are working with before configuring your connection.

FTP credentials (Host, Username, Password, Port) come from Hicks Inc — not a website login

Your FTP Host, FTP Username, FTP Password, and FTP Port are FTP credentials provided directly by Hicks Inc. They are separate from any Hicks Inc dealer website or portal login. Contact your Hicks Inc account representative to obtain FTP credentials if you don't have them. Without valid credentials, Test Connection will fail.

GIP daily for full catalog; GIS more frequently for delta updates — Archive on one job only

Run Get Inventory Primary once daily to import the full Hicks Inc hunting and outdoor gear catalog. Use Get Inventory Secondary on a more frequent schedule for pricing and quantity refreshes. Enable Archive/Un-Archive on one job only — enabling it on both GIP and GIS simultaneously creates conflicting inventory states.

Test Connection failing — FTP credentials incorrect or FTP access not enabled
If Test Connection fails: (1) re-enter FTP Host, FTP Username, FTP Password, and FTP Port exactly as provided by Hicks Inc — check for leading/trailing spaces; (2) confirm these are FTP credentials, not your Hicks Inc website or portal login; (3) if credentials were recently issued, allow a few minutes before retrying; (4) confirm with Hicks Inc that FTP access is enabled for your account. Also confirm you are connecting to Hicks Inc specifically and not confusing it with the Bill Hicks & Co. integration, which has a different connection method. Contact Flxpoint Support at support@flxpoint.com if the issue persists.

How do I connect Hicks Inc as a source in Flxpoint?
