Connecting Your Sales Channel
June 26, 2026
Summary
What channels do in Flxpoint, how to connect your primary channel, and the full reference for every channel integration - from Import Listings through Sync Orders and custom exports.
What channels do in Flxpoint
Product & listing sync
Link and sync product data, pricing, quantity, and listing status from Flxpoint to your storefront.
Order import
Pull new sales orders from the channel into Flxpoint for routing and fulfillment.
Shipment tracking sync
Push tracking numbers and order status back to the channel automatically when a source ships.
Your first task when onboarding is to connect the channel that holds your most accurate, complete product data - typically your primary website or main marketplace.
Channel integration reference
| Integration | Priority | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Import Listings | Step 1 | Pulls active and hidden listings from your channel into Flxpoint - creating Channel Listing and Product Catalog records. Does not import archived or inactive products. Not all channels support this operation (for example, Walmart). |
| Get Orders | Step 1 | Retrieves new, unfulfilled orders from the channel and imports them into Flxpoint for routing. Imported orders enter the standard order lifecycle. |
| Sync Listings | Step 2 | Pushes updated price, quantity, and status (PQS) to the channel. Does not push product content (titles, images, descriptions). Also handles Delist, Hide, and Unhide queued actions. |
| Publish Listings | Step 2 | Pushes full product content - plus price, quantity, and status - to the channel. Creates new listings if unlinked. Overwrites existing content if linked. Use for new products or content updates. |
| Sync Orders | Step 2 | Pushes shipments and tracking back to the channel. Some integrations also support acknowledgement sync when an order is imported into Flxpoint. |
| Send Accounting Orders | Optional | Sends channel order data to QuickBooks Online for accounting reconciliation. |
| Custom Export Operation | Pro only | Exports current channel listings as a CSV or TSV file via an HTTP link. Used to pass listing data to third-party repricing tools (e.g. Informed.co for Amazon repricing). |
What Import Listings brings in
| Data point | Imported? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Quantity & pricing | ✓ Yes | As of the time of import - not kept live until Sync Listings is configured. |
| Attributes & options | ✓ Yes | Variant options (size, colour, etc.) and custom attribute values. |
| Images, brands, categories, descriptions | ✓ Yes | Empty fields import as blank - no data is fabricated. |
| Active products | ✓ Yes | Published and visible listings. |
| Hidden products | ✓ Yes | Products not visible to buyers but still present on the channel. |
| Archived / inactive products | ✗ No | Import Listings does not pull archived or inactive status items. |
Sync Listings vs Publish Listings - when to use each
| Operation | What it updates | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| Sync Listings | Price, quantity, status only - no content | Ongoing inventory and pricing updates. Run frequently (hourly or daily) to keep channels current. |
| Publish Listings | Everything - content, price, quantity, status | Launching new products or pushing content changes (title edits, image updates). Also creates listings from scratch if unlinked. |
Non-obvious behaviours
Sync Listings does not push product content
Running Sync Listings will update price, quantity, and status only. If you've edited a product title, description, or images in Flxpoint and want those changes to appear on the channel, you must run Publish Listings - not Sync Listings. This is the most common reason content changes "disappear" after a sync run.
Publish Listings overwrites existing channel content
When Publish Listings runs on a linked listing, it overwrites the current channel content with what's in Flxpoint. If the channel has been manually edited outside Flxpoint (e.g. a seller edited a description directly on Shopify), those edits will be overwritten on the next Publish. Decide which system is your content source of truth before enabling Publish.
Import Listings doesn't keep quantity live
Import Listings captures quantity as a one-time snapshot at the moment of import. It does not create an ongoing sync. To keep channel quantities current after the import, you must configure and run Sync Listings on a schedule.
Integration requirements vary by channel
The credentials, scopes, and available operations differ per channel. What works for Shopify won't apply to Amazon or WooCommerce. If you don't see your channel in the standard list when adding it, use advanced setup wizard for the full list of supported channels.
Common issues
Some products are missing after running Import Listings
▾Import Listings only pulls active and hidden products - archived or inactive listings are skipped entirely. Check the channel directly to confirm the missing products' status. If they're active but still missing, check the import log for per-product errors (attribute mismatches or channel API limits can exclude individual items).
Channel quantity isn't updating after Sync Listings runs
▾Sync Listings only updates listings that are linked - connected to a Flxpoint Product Catalog record. Unlinked listings (those imported but not yet matched to a product) are skipped. Check the listing's link status in Channel Listings. Also verify that the source inventory for that product has synced recently with a non-zero quantity.
Orders are not importing from the channel
▾Confirm that Get Orders is configured and scheduled for the channel. If it's set up but orders still aren't importing, check the integration run logs for authentication errors - channel API credentials can expire or require reauthorisation (common with Amazon SP-API and eBay OAuth tokens).
FAQs
Which channel should I connect first?
Connect the channel that holds your most accurate and complete product data - typically your primary website (Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.) or main marketplace. This becomes the foundation for your product catalog, so data quality matters more than channel volume at this stage.
Can I connect more than one channel?
Yes - Flxpoint supports multiple channels simultaneously. After setting up your primary channel and validating your product and order flow, add additional channels and configure their integrations separately. Each channel has its own integration settings.
What's the Custom Export Operation and who needs it?
The Custom Export Operation generates a live HTTP link containing all your channel listings as a CSV or TSV file. It's used primarily by sellers who connect Flxpoint to third-party repricing tools like Informed.co for Amazon listing repricing. It's a Pro-tier feature and not required for most onboarding setups.
