Summary
Lists are reusable collections of values - SKUs, brands, categories, and more - that workflows and rules can reference for bulk management, managed under Account Settings > Mapping Utilities > Lists.
Overview
Lists are reusable collections of values (SKUs, brands, UPCs, categories, and more) that workflows and rules can reference for bulk management. Build a list once, then point a workflow or rule at it to act on everything in the list.
Lists are managed under Account Settings → Mapping Utilities → Lists, where you can create a new list, search, edit, add values, or upload a CSV.
Where lists can be used
| Category | Example values |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | SKUs, UPC, MPNs, GTIN, ASINs |
| Categories | Category 1, Category 2, Category 3 |
| Brands / product data | Brand, Title, Description (must match list value exactly) |
| Order | Order Note, Channel Shipping Text, Order Number |
| Shipping | State, Postal Code, Country Code |
| Scopes | Global (pricing/quantity, listing status, order importing & routing), Channel, Source (Post-Mapping for Get Inventory Primary) |
Example uses
| Goal | How a list helps |
|---|---|
| Delist banned brands | List the brands, then set a rule at the Global or Channel level to delist all items under them. |
| Stop importing certain brands | List the brands and add a Post-Mapping Workflow rule on Get Inventory Primary to block them at import. |
| Add shipping cost by SKU | List oversized-product SKUs and apply extra shipping cost via a Post-Mapping Workflow. |
| Enforce MAP for specific UPCs | List the UPCs and set a Global Pricing/Quantity rule to raise the list price to MAP if it falls below. |
Important notes
Note: Find lists under Account Settings → Mapping Utilities → Lists. From there you can create a new list, search, edit, add values, or upload a CSV.
Note: List values must match exactly. For brand, title, and similar text values, spelling, case, and format must match the product value exactly or the rule will not match the item.
Note: The second CSV Modification Type is destructive. On a bulk upload, this option deletes all existing values and keeps only the uploaded ones. Once cleared, previous list values cannot be retrieved. Header names are case-sensitive.
Note: A mapped list cannot be deleted. You can only delete a list that is not currently used by a workflow or rule: unmap it first.
Note: Filters and views are limited. Custom views support only Created On Date, Tags, and Value; other parameters are not supported.
Common issues
A list-based rule is not matching the products I expect.
List values are matched exactly. Confirm the brand, title, or identifier in the list matches the value on the product character for character, including case and spacing.
FAQs
Where do I manage lists?
Account Settings → Mapping Utilities → Lists.
Why is my list not matching any items?
The value must match exactly: spelling, case, and format all have to line up with the product value.
What does the second Modification Type do on a CSV upload?
It replaces the entire list with the uploaded values, deleting the existing ones. This cannot be undone.
Can I delete a list that a rule is using?
No. Remove the list from any workflow or rule first, then delete it.
