Amazon FBA as a Source

July 30, 2026

Summary

Amazon FBA connects to Flxpoint as a source over the Selling Partner API (SP-API), so Amazon's fulfillment centers can pick, pack and ship orders from any of your channels. It supports Get Inventory (Primary) for catalog and FBA stock, Send Fulfillment Requests to Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment, and Get Shipments for tracking. Quantity counts SELLABLE stock only, optionally including FBM, and images, weights, dimensions and variations are not available from Amazon's reports.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports your Amazon catalog and FBA stock into Flxpoint's Global Inventory Pool.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Submits orders to Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) for Amazon to pick, pack and ship.
Get Shipments
Pulls Amazon shipment confirmations - tracking, carrier and service level - back into Flxpoint.

Amazon FBA lets you store products in Amazon's fulfillment centers and have Amazon handle picking, packing, shipping and customer service. Connecting it as a source lets you use that logistics network to fulfill orders from any of your sales channels.

Add a source named Amazon FBA (source type Vendor Warehouse works well), then start configuring an operation. When Flxpoint prompts you, click + New Connection and enter the values below. Save, authorize the Flxpoint app in Amazon Seller Central, return to Flxpoint, then Test Connection.

Connection NameSetting
A descriptive label for this connection, e.g. Amazon FBA Connection.
Flxpoint-side label only.
Marketplace IDRequired
The Amazon marketplace/region this store sells in.
Pick the marketplace that matches the Seller Central account.
Refresh TokenRequired
SP-API refresh token, created via OAuth2 after you save the connection and authorize Flxpoint in Seller Central.
Generated during authorization - you do not paste it by hand.
Selling Partner IDRequired
Your Amazon Seller ID.
Found in Seller Central under your account information.
The same connection is reused for all three operations - set it up once, then enable Get Inventory (Primary), Send Fulfillment Requests and Get Shipments against it.

Include FBM Quantity changes what stock you sell

The Include FBM Quantity setting on Get Inventory (Primary) decides the final number. With it ON, quantity = FBA + FBM. With it OFF, only FBA stock counts. Turn it on only if you actually fulfill merchant-fulfilled stock from the same pool.

Only SELLABLE stock is counted

Flxpoint reads the AFN inventory report and uses only rows with a SELLABLE warehouse-condition code. If the same SKU appears on several SELLABLE rows, the values are summed. Damaged or unfulfillable stock is never counted.

Images, weights, dimensions and variations are not available

Amazon's reports do not include image URLs, weights, dimensions, categories beyond the basic levels, custom fields, variations or client pricing. Those fields cannot be imported no matter how the template is mapped - source them elsewhere in your catalog.

Get Inventory (Primary) is a full feed, not a delta

Every run pulls the whole catalog - there is no delta feed and no Archive/Un-Archive support for this job. Leave Archive off and schedule GIP at a cadence your catalog size can absorb.

Get Shipments only sees its lookback window

The Get Shipments Within Last X Days setting bounds every run. Shipments older than the window are never fetched, so if a run is missed, temporarily widen the window to backfill and then set it back.

Invoice information and custom fields are not included in Amazon's shipment report, so there is nothing to map for those.

A SKU imports with quantity 0 even though Amazon shows stock
Flxpoint reads the AFN inventory report first, then the all-listings report. If the SKU is in neither, quantity defaults to 0. Check that the SKU exists in the AFN report with a SELLABLE warehouse-condition code - unfulfillable or reserved stock is not counted. If your account has the Fetch Missing Inventory from FBA API flag enabled, Flxpoint queries the FBA Inventory API for those missing SKUs before defaulting to 0.
Quantities look lower than expected across the catalog
Check the Include FBM Quantity setting. With it off, only FBA stock is counted and any merchant-fulfilled quantity is ignored.
Fulfillment requests are rejected by Amazon
Amazon validates the destination address, so confirm the country and state values are ISO codes rather than full names, and that Item SKU matches the Amazon seller-sku exactly. A quantity of zero or a blank required address field will also be refused.
Tracking is missing for an order Amazon already shipped
Confirm the shipment falls inside the Get Shipments Within Last X Days window, and that the SKUs on the shipment match your catalog - items are associated by SKU. To recover older shipments, widen the window temporarily and then set it back.
A partial shipment is not reflected in Flxpoint
Partial shipments are supported, but each shipment row must carry a SKU that matches exactly. Confirm several shipment rows exist for the order in Amazon and that each SKU lines up with your catalog.
Images or product dimensions never import
Expected. Amazon's reports do not carry image URLs, weights, dimensions, variations or custom fields, so those fields cannot come from this source.

Is Amazon FBA a source or a channel in Flxpoint?
A source. You connect it so Amazon can fulfill orders that come from your other sales channels. Selling on the Amazon marketplace is a separate integration - see Amazon as a Channel.
Why does Flxpoint use reports instead of the FBA Inventory API for everything?
The reports return every SKU in one request, while the API is resource-intensive and works in batches of roughly 50 SKUs. Flxpoint uses the reports for the full catalog and calls the API only as a fallback for SKUs that are missing from both reports.
Can I stop specific SKUs from importing?
Yes. Add a post-mapping workflow rule such as Do Not Import Deleted SKUs or Do Not Import Excluded SKUs on Get Inventory (Primary).
Should I prefix the Master SKU for FBA items?
It helps. A prefix such as FBA- makes FBA-sourced inventory easy to identify once several sources feed the same catalog, and it keeps Master SKU collisions from happening when another supplier carries the same item.
What time zone do the schedules run in?
Job schedules run in UTC. Pair the Get Shipments schedule shortly after your Send Fulfillment Requests cadence so tracking flows back quickly.
