Western Post 3PL

Summary

Western Post is a logistics and distribution provider supporting warehousing and order fulfillment. It connects to Flxpoint as a single source using an APP KEY, APP TOKEN and Environment. It supports Get Inventory (Primary) for the catalog and quantities, Send Fulfillment Requests for warehouse fulfillment, and Get Shipments to sync confirmations back to Flxpoint.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports the Western Post catalog and quantities into Flxpoint.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends orders (Fulfillment Requests) to Western Post for warehouse fulfillment.
Get Shipments
Pulls Western Post shipment confirmations (SKU and quantity per line) back into Flxpoint.

Western Post uses a single connection type. Add a Western Post source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the APP KEY, APP TOKEN and Environment, then Test ConnectionSave Connection.

The APP KEY and APP TOKEN are issued by Western Post. Request them from your Western Post account contact if you don't already have them, and confirm which Environment your account is provisioned for.

Three credentials are required

The connection needs the APP KEY, APP TOKEN and Environment. All three must be present for the connection to test successfully. Domain, Retailer ID, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are not used by this connection.


Imports the Western Post catalog and quantities into Flxpoint.

AttributesProduct → Attributes. Direct copy: the attribute name/value pairs Western Post sends are carried across as-is.

Test Connection fails
All three values are required: APP KEY, APP TOKEN and Environment. Note that Domain, Retailer ID, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are not used by this connection, so filling those does not help.
Stock numbers look off
Map the sellable bucket to quantity: it is the saleable on-hand count. The other buckets (unsellable, reserved, pending, onway and so on) are breakdowns Western Post reports alongside it.
Shipments come in without a ship date
Western Post does not always return Shipped At. When it is missing, Flxpoint stamps the shipment with the sync time.

Where do the APP KEY and APP TOKEN come from?
They are issued by Western Post. Request them from your Western Post account contact, and confirm which Environment your account is provisioned for.
Which quantity field should I map to stock?
The sellable field. Map the other warehouse buckets only if you need the breakdown.
Does Western Post support cross-border shipments?
Yes. The feed carries productDeclaredName and productDeclaredValue, the customs declaration name and value used on cross-border shipments.
