GunBroker as a Channel

June 26, 2026

Summary

GunBroker is a sales channel for firearms and shooting-sports products. This integration imports and publishes listings, keeps price and quantity in sync, and brings GunBroker orders into Flxpoint for fulfillment, with built-in handling for FFL orders and for auction vs. fixed-price listings.

Import listings
Pulls existing GunBroker listings into Flxpoint
Publish listings
Creates new fixed-price or auction listings on GunBroker
Sync listings
Pushes price & quantity updates; delists at zero stock
Get orders
Brings GunBroker orders in for fulfillment routing
Sync orders
Pushes tracking numbers back to GunBroker

Enter these on the Connect Channel screen. They all come from your GunBroker seller account - here's exactly where to find each one.

No variants - every SKU is its own listing

GunBroker does not support parent-child product relationships. Each variant must be a standalone item. Do not merge products into a parent-child structure in Flxpoint - doing so causes incorrect delisting and duplicate sync attempts.

Hiding = delisting on GunBroker

GunBroker does not support hiding listings. Moving a product to the Hidden Queue in Flxpoint automatically delists it from GunBroker and updates its status to Delisted. To relist, add stock and run Sync Listings.

Category IDs must be numeric leaf nodes

GunBroker requires numeric leaf-level Category IDs (e.g. 3018 for Pistol Ammunition). Using a parent category ID causes a publish error. All SKUs must publish at the same category depth. Use the official GunBroker category CSV to find correct IDs.

Quantity and Price must always be mapped

Quantity is required across all operations - Import, Sync, Publish, and Get Orders. If Quantity is unmapped, the integration fails. A built-in rule also sets quantity to 0 if cost or list price is missing, ending the listing to prevent low-price errors.

FieldNotes
Name (Title)Required. Maps from Listing Parent → Title. GunBroker will show a generic placeholder if Description is not mapped - map it explicitly to avoid listings showing no description.
SKURequired. The linking key - must match between Flxpoint and GunBroker to avoid duplicate listings.
Category IDRequired. Must be a numeric leaf category ID (e.g. 3018). One field only - map from Category 1, 2, or 3; the others are ignored. Use the GunBroker category CSV.
QuantityRequired. Auction listings are always quantity 1. Fixed-price listings support any quantity. Quantity is set to 0 automatically if cost or list price is missing or zero.
PriceRequired for fixed-price listings. USD only. Auction listings require a starting price; reserve and buy-now are optional.
ManufacturerNot a mappable field — GunBroker's Items API doesn't expose a Manufacturer field, so there's nothing to map to and the listing posts as "OTHER Manufacturer". To show the brand, include it in Title (or Description) using the Publish Mapping Template's prefix or postfix option.
Sync listings pushes price and quantity only. It also delists products when quantity reaches zero. To relist, add stock in Flxpoint and run sync. If GunBroker listings are not updating after sync runs, check that the Sync Listings template has both Price and Quantity mapped - missing either field causes the job to fail silently or error.
SettingNotes
Order status filterSelect the statuses to import (e.g. Pending Seller Review, Pending Shipment). Narrow this to avoid importing unwanted order states.
FFL status filterFilter by FFL status: All, Awaiting FFL, or FFL Received. Non-FFL items being flagged as FFL usually means the FFL rules on the source are misconfigured - check source-level FFL settings if standard items are incorrectly requiring FFL info.
PII retentionSet how long customer personal data is stored (e.g. 30 days after shipment, or Indefinitely).
Shipping mappingsMap GunBroker's shipping text (e.g. "Standard") to a Flxpoint shipping policy. Unmapped shipping methods put orders on hold.
FieldNotes
Tracking NumberRequired. Maps from Shipment → Tracking Number.
CarrierRequired. Maps from Shipment → Carrier (e.g. FedEx, UPS). Sets the GunBroker Shipping Provider field.
Partial shipmentsNot supported - only fully shipped orders sync. Orders with customer name data issues (e.g. LightSpeed integration) may fail to sync - confirm name fields are mapping correctly in your Get Orders template.

Scheduled jobs failing - "invalid credentials" or authentication error
Your GunBroker account password has changed since the connection was set up. Go to the channel's connection settings, re-enter the current GunBroker username and password, and click Test Connection & Continue. All scheduled jobs will resume on their next run once the connection is re-authenticated.
Publish fails with a "terminal categories" error
The Category ID mapped is a parent node, not a leaf. Open the GunBroker category CSV, find the lowest-level sub-category for your product, and replace the mapped ID with that leaf ID. All SKUs must use the same category depth - mixed levels will also trigger this error.
Listings stuck on "Pending Publish" / Quantity Null Error
Quantity is not mapped in the Publish Listings template, or cost and list price are both zero/missing for the affected SKUs - the built-in rule sets quantity to 0 to prevent low-price publishing, which causes the listing to end immediately. Go to Sales Channels → GunBroker → Templates → Publish Listings → Field Mapping, confirm Quantity and Price are mapped, then check that cost and list price are populated on the source inventory records.
GunBroker listings not updating prices after Sync Listings runs
This is the most-reported GunBroker issue in support tickets. Two causes: (1) Both Price and Quantity must be mapped in the Sync Listings template - mapping only one of them causes the job to error silently. Go to Templates → Sync Listings → Field Mapping and confirm both are mapped. (2) The listing ended due to zero quantity - once ended, a listing needs to be republished rather than synced. Add stock and run Publish to bring it back.
Listings all ended and did not relist after restocking
GunBroker ends listings when quantity hits zero. Restocking alone doesn't relist them - you need to re-run Publish Listings after adding stock. Sync Listings only updates active listings; it cannot relist ended ones. If auto-relist is important for your workflow, consider a Pricing & Quantity rule in Flxpoint that queues a Publish action when quantity rises above zero.
Listings showing "OTHER Manufacturer" on GunBroker
This is not a missing template setting - GunBroker's Items API doesn't expose a brand/manufacturer field, so there is nothing for Flxpoint to map to. This is a documented integration limitation. The only workaround is to include the brand in a field GunBroker does accept - most commonly the Title (or Description) - using the Publish Mapping Template's prefix or postfix options.
Non-FFL items flagged as requiring FFL information on all orders
FFL rules are configured at the source level, not the channel level. If all orders from a source are being flagged for FFL - including items that don't require it - check the FFL rules in the source's settings. A rule that applies to all SKUs rather than specific categories or product types will flag everything. Narrow the rule to match only the item types (e.g. handguns, rifles) that actually require FFL transfers.
GunBroker orders not closing or receiving tracking numbers
Sync Orders skips orders with FFL items unless the order is marked FFL Received. For non-FFL orders still not closing, confirm Tracking Number and Carrier are both mapped in the Sync Orders template and that the order is fully shipped - partial shipments are not supported. Check the job log for the specific error on any stuck orders.
Duplicate listings created on GunBroker after Publish
The SKU in Flxpoint doesn't match the existing GunBroker listing SKU - Flxpoint created a new listing instead of updating. Correct the SKU mismatch on one side, delete the duplicate on GunBroker, and republish.

Why are my GunBroker listing prices not updating even though Sync Listings shows as completed?
The most common cause is that the listing ended due to zero quantity before the price update ran - ended listings don't receive price updates. Check whether the affected listings show as Active or Ended on GunBroker. If ended, add stock and run Publish to relist them. If still active, check the Sync Listings template to confirm both Price and Quantity are mapped - mapping only one causes the sync to fail without a clear error.
Can I sell auction and fixed-price listings through the same channel?
Yes. Both listing types are supported. Auction listings are always quantity 1 with a required starting price and optional reserve/buy-now prices. Fixed-price listings support any quantity. Use separate mapping templates if your auction and fixed-price products need different field configurations.
Why did my product disappear from GunBroker after I hid it in Flxpoint?
GunBroker does not support hiding - only delisting. When you move a product to the Hidden Queue in Flxpoint it is automatically delisted on GunBroker. To bring it back, add stock and run Sync Listings. There is no way to hide a GunBroker listing without removing it from sale.
How do I find the correct GunBroker category ID for my products?
Download the official GunBroker category CSV and locate the lowest-level sub-category that matches your product. Use only that leaf-node ID in your mapping template - parent category IDs cause a "terminal categories" error. You can also use Flxpoint's AI category mapping feature in the GunBroker channel settings to auto-suggest leaf IDs.
How do I handle FFL orders in the fulfillment workflow?
When Get Orders imports an FFL order, it brings in the FFL dealer details. Orders requiring FFL processing appear as "Needs Attention" and require manual approval before routing. Sync Orders will not push tracking for FFL items until the order is marked FFL Received. Configure FFL rules at the source level to automate flagging - apply rules only to item types that genuinely require FFL transfers (e.g. handguns, rifles) to avoid non-FFL items being incorrectly held.
Does Sync Listings update descriptions, images, or other content fields?
No - Sync Listings is price and quantity only. To update descriptions, images, or other content on existing GunBroker listings, use Publish Listings with the overwrite option enabled (non-auction listings only). This is a common point of confusion: clients run Sync expecting content changes to appear, but only Publish pushes content.
