Shipments

Summary

Shipments track items shipped from your sources, usually imported automatically via Get Shipments and synced to channels via Sync Orders, with support for manual entry and tracking suppression.

Shipments represent items shipped out from your sources. A shipment usually originates from a source via the Get Shipments integration and syncs to a channel via Sync Orders. You can also create shipments manually.

  • Originate from sources — Get Shipments imports tracking from the source and associates it to the FR/FO.
  • Sync to channels — each imported shipment is flagged to sync on the next Sync Orders run.
  • Create manually — add a shipment by hand when a source shipped outside Flxpoint or to control tracking.
  • Suppress tracking — flag shipments so their tracking is not synced back to the channel.

Shipment lifecycle

  1. FR/FO processed — after a fulfillment request/order is processed to a source, Flxpoint monitors for related shipments.
  2. Shipment found and imported — the shipment is associated to the FR/FO and shipped counts increment based on the items found shipped.
  3. Order closes when fully shipped — when all items are shipped, the order moves to Closed.
  4. Synced to channel — each imported shipment is flagged for syncing and picked up on the next Sync Orders integration, unless tracking is suppressed.

Create a shipment by hand when the source already shipped (so it will not be pulled in automatically) or to record tracking in Flxpoint without sending it to the channel. On the order, scroll to Fulfillment and click Add Shipment.

In some cases you do not want tracking sent back to the channel. Set the suppress-tracking flag so Flxpoint keeps the tracking internally without syncing it. This can be automated via routing groups or set manually per shipment.

For bulk suppression when clearing shipment errors: this is ideal for bundle products on channels like Shopify that expect a single shipment. Go to Orders, filter to shipments with errors, choose Clear Errors, enable the suppress checkbox, and confirm.

StatusMeaning
Partially ShippedNot all items were included in a single shipment. Add another shipment with the remaining tracking.
Fully ShippedThe PO/FR quantity and the shipped quantity match.
Note: A suppressed shipment keeps its tracking inside Flxpoint only. Use it (via routing groups or per shipment) when syncing tracking back would cause channel errors, such as bundle component shipments on Shopify.
Note: Manual shipments are needed when the source ships outside Flxpoint. If a shipment was processed directly with the source, it will not be pulled in automatically — add it manually so counts and status stay accurate.
Note: Auto Create Shipment does not cover manual labels. Create Shipment From Shipping Label auto-creates shipments only for auto-purchased labels. For manually purchased labels, create the shipment yourself (or enable auto-create in the Buy Shipping Label flyout).
  • Vendor marked the order shipped but the FR still shows Awaiting Shipment — the Get Shipments integration is not receiving the tracking from the source. Confirm the source supports shipment/tracking import and that the vendor marked it shipped in a place the integration reads (a separate label tool on the vendor side may not feed back). If it persists, capture the order and raise it with support; in the meantime you can add the shipment manually.
  • Repeated shipment sync errors for bundle components — channels like Shopify expect one shipment for a bundle, so component shipments error on sync. Use bulk Clear Errors with suppression enabled, or suppress tracking via a routing group, so component shipments are not synced.
  • Order will not close after shipping — the order closes only when shipped quantity equals PO/FR quantity. If it is stuck on Partially Shipped, add shipments for the remaining items (with their tracking) until the quantities match.
  • How do shipments normally get into Flxpoint? Through the Get Shipments source integration, which imports tracking and associates it to the FR/FO; shipments then sync to the channel via Sync Orders.
  • How do I stop tracking from syncing to the channel? Suppress tracking — either automatically via routing groups or manually on the shipment (including the Suppressed Status option when adding one).
  • What is the difference between Partially and Fully Shipped? Partially Shipped means not all items shipped yet; Fully Shipped means the shipped quantity matches the PO/FR quantity.
