Source Shipping Methods
Summary
Source shipping methods define the carrier, service level, and shipping code a source needs to fulfill accurately, keeping Flxpoint and the supplier aligned on how orders ship out.
Source shipping methods define the ways a source can physically ship an order — specific carriers (UPS, FedEx) and service levels (Ground, Next Day Air). They carry the shipping code a source needs to fulfill accurately, keeping Flxpoint and your supplier aligned. Add them at Connections → Fulfillment Sources → [Source] → Shipping Methods.
- Carrier and service level — represent how a source ships, e.g. “UPS Next Day Air”.
- Shipping code — a custom code the source recognizes, e.g. UPSNDA.
- Packages — Best Fit for predefined sizes, or Custom for manual packaging.
- Carrier/Method link — links to a Flxpoint carrier/method to enable rate shopping.

FR fails with “unrecognized shipping code” when testing rate shopping and labels
A source method can require a shipping code while help text says the code will be overridden by the shipping label code. If no label is purchased at processing time, the original code is still sent and can be rejected. Confirm the label actually buys during processing, or set a Shipping Code the source accepts as a fallback; check the FR logs to see the exact value sent.
“No Shipping Method Found” on an imported order
The source has no method matching the code on the order. Add or correct a method under Connections → Fulfillment Sources → [Source] → Shipping Methods so its Shipping Code matches, then reprocess the order.
Where do I add source shipping methods?
Connections → Fulfillment Sources → [Your Source] → Shipping Methods, then Add Method.
What is Best Fit packaging?
Flxpoint picks the smallest predefined package that fits the item dimensions (largest box for oversized items). Choose Custom to manage package sizes manually.
Why does my method need a Carrier/Method link?
The link to a Flxpoint carrier/method is what enables features like rate shopping to compare costs across methods.
