Allocation in Flxpoint: Allocated Quantity, Committed Stock and Allocated Items

November 4, 2026

Summary

The places allocation shows up in Flxpoint (order lines, committed stock, Sports South allocated inventory, routing and channel quantity), and what is not supported, such as importing a distributor's allocation file.

Flxpoint has no Allocations screen. The word covers a few different things, listed below. Flxpoint cannot import a distributor's allocation file or keep a separate list of allocated items.

Open an order and click Details on a line item. Allocation Details shows Ordered, Canceled and Unallocated. Allocated is the quantity already on a fulfillment request; Unallocated is what is neither on one nor canceled. The order's Allocation Status is None, Partial or Fully.

  • Create Fulfillment Request shows Qty Unallocated, and Needs Fulfillment Request lists only items that still have some.
  • Actions > Cancel Line Items cancels only the unallocated quantity.

On a source, Settings > Commit stock? reserves inventory for open fulfillment requests. Source Inventory then shows Total Quantity, Committed and Available (Available is Total Quantity minus Committed), and View next to Committed lists the requests holding it.

Sports South sources have an Allocated Inventory setting on Get Inventory (off by default). Turned on, it adds the allocated quantity Sports South reports to each item's regular quantity.

  • Settings > Orders > Routing decides how an order is split across sources, with rules such as Single Fulfillment Request and Fewest Number of Fulfillment Requests.
  • A channel's Pricing / Quantity page combines eligible source quantity or uses the best source only, with a Quantity Minimum per source. There is no way to reserve a share of a source's stock for one channel.
My distributor offers limited allocated items. Does Flxpoint handle them?

Not as a separate feature. Apart from the Sports South setting, the quantity Flxpoint shows is whatever the distributor's feed sends.
