Order Modifications

July 20, 2026

Summary

Explains how to add or cancel order line items, edit order fields, and mark items non-shippable on Open orders in Flxpoint.

Order modifications let you adjust an existing order without recreating it. You can add or cancel line items, edit order fields, and mark individual items as non-shippable. Modifications are only possible while the order is in an Open status.

  • Add line item — add a catalog product, then confirm quantity and pricing.
  • Cancel line item — cancel a single item or all items, before or after the FR/FO exists.
  • Edit fields — update notes, addresses, shipping policy, tags, and custom fields.
  • Non-shippable — flag items as non-shippable so they do not force the order On Hold.
FieldNotes
Order NotesInternal reference notes.
Custom FieldsAdditional order-level metadata.
Shipping / Billing AddressDelivery and payment location details.
Shipping PolicyThe policy applied to the order.
TagsLabels for categorization.
Item DetailsMark line items shippable or non-shippable by enabling or disabling the Shippable setting — open the order line item details, go to Item Details, and click the pencil icon.

Before the FR/FO exists

Cancel all items from Actions → Cancel Line Items, or cancel a single item from the gear next to that line item and confirm the amount in the flyout.

After the FR/FO is generated

Under the FR entry, use Actions → Adjust FR/FO, then choose to cancel from this FR/FO and refulfill from another source, or cancel from both the FR/FO and the order.

Note: Adding line items and most edits are only available while the order is in an Open status. Check the status before attempting a change.
Note: A shipment only syncs back to the channel for a SKU added after import if that same SKU is also added to the order on the channel itself (for example within Shopify).
Note: To flag specific items non-shippable, set Order Line Item → Shippable → False and check Apply only to matches. This option is only available when both the condition and action reference a child-level object such as order items, and an OR condition only evaluates its first clause.

A cancelled or qty-0 line item still exported to ShipStation

If an item was cancelled from both the FR/FO and the order through Adjust Fulfillment Request but still reached ShipStation, the FR was most likely processed (or processed then unprocessed) around the same moment another channel was sending FR/FOs for a shared source. Review the Order Timeline to confirm the processing sequence before re-submitting.

Cannot fix a wrong price on a committed line item

Once a line item is committed you may be unable to edit its price, and cancelling it can prevent re-adding the same SKU at the correct price. Set the correct price in the add-item modal before confirming; if an item is already stuck, contact support rather than rebuilding the order.

How do I cancel one item without cancelling the whole fulfillment request?

Use Adjust FR/FO and enter the quantity to cancel in the Cancel column for just that line item, then choose whether to refulfill it from another source or cancel it from the order entirely. Items you leave untouched continue to ship.

If I cancel an item on the channel after import, do I need to cancel it in Flxpoint too?

Yes. Flxpoint does not have an automatic cancellation flow from the channel, so cancel the item in Flxpoint as well, in the line item section, to keep the two in sync.

Can I add a product that is not already in my catalog?

No. When adding a line item you can only select products that already exist in your Product Catalog. Confirm quantity and pricing, then click Confirm.
