Editing and Creating Inventory Manually

How to manually edit a source inventory variant's price, identifier, and quantity fields, and how to create a new inventory item without a file, while protecting manual edits from being overwritten by the feed.
You can manually adjust an inventory variant's price and identifier fields, or manually create a brand new inventory item without a file. To keep the source feed from overwriting a value you set by hand, map that field to Don't Map in the source's Get Inventory templates. Every change is tracked on the variant history, including the user who made it.

In the create pop-up, select Create Additional Inventory (bottom left) to keep adding items without losing your current entries.
Manual edits keep getting overwritten on the next import
The field is still mapped in the Get Inventory templates. Set that field to Don't Map in both Get Inventory Primary and Secondary so Flxpoint stops updating it from the feed.
The source keeps pushing a price you do not want (for example a marked-down sale price)
Either set the affected price field to Don't Map so you control it manually, or add a mapping rule that blocks the unwanted value on import. A feed-controlled field otherwise reverts on every sync.
Which inventory fields can I edit?
Price fields (Cost, MSRP, MAP, Shipping Cost, Dropship Fee, Source List Price), identifier fields (UPC, MPN, GTIN, ASIN, Reference Identifier, Bin Location), and Available Quantity.
Can I change a SKU manually?
No. Editing the SKU manually is not supported.
How do I stop the source from overwriting my edits?
Set each field you manage by hand to Don't Map in the source's Get Inventory Primary and Secondary mapping templates.
How do I add a product that is not in any feed?
Go to Source Inventory → Actions → Create Inventory, choose the source, enter Parent SKU and Variant SKU, and fill any optional fields.
Is there an edit history?
Yes. The inventory variant history logs the email of the user who made each change along with the standard changelog details.
