Western Power Sports as a Source

July 20, 2026

Summary

Western Power Sports (WPS) is a leading powersports distributor for parts, accessories, and gear covering motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and watercraft. The integration connects with a single API Token from the WPS Dealer Portal and runs Get Inventory (Primary for the full catalog, Secondary for frequent price/quantity refreshes), Send Fulfillment Requests, and Get Shipments. Products without both a color and size attribute import as stand-alone SKUs, and at least one warehouse must be enabled for quantities to sync.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports the full WPS catalog — products, quantities, pricing, attributes.
Get Inventory (Secondary)
Lightweight, frequent refresh of pricing and quantity only.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends dropship orders to WPS — SKU, quantity, ship-to required.
Get Shipments
Pulls WPS shipment confirmations — tracking, ship date, status.

Western Power Sports connects with a single API Token generated in the WPS Dealer Portal. Add a WPS source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the API Token, then Test ConnectionSave Connection.

API TokenRequired
Generated in the WPS Dealer Portal under Account Settings or API Access. A long alphanumeric string, separate from your WPS website login.
After connecting, open the WPS integration's Warehouses tab and enable at least one location (Ashley IN, Boise ID, Elizabethtown PA, Fresno CA, Jessup PA, Midlothian TX, Midway GA) — quantities won't sync until at least one warehouse is enabled. For operation-level mapping guidance contact support@flxpoint.com.

Products without color + size are now stand-alone SKUs (May 2025 change)

As of May 26, 2025, WPS products missing both color and size attributes import as stand-alone SKUs — Parent SKU equals Variant SKU, with no parent-child relationship. Previously these may have failed to import. If you have existing WPS inventory and expected SKUs are missing, archive the current WPS inventory (Catalog → Inventory → Bulk Actions → Archive), run GIP, then re-enable any Listing or Pricing sync jobs.

At least one warehouse must be selected — quantities won't pull if none are enabled

In the WPS integration settings, you must enable at least one warehouse in the Warehouses tab. Available warehouses include Ashley IN, Boise ID, Elizabethtown PA, Fresno CA, Jessup PA, Midlothian TX, and Midway GA. Individual warehouse quantities are also mappable as separate fields. If a warehouse isn't enabled, its quantities won't be included in the sync.

Send FR requires Fulfillment Request Number, SKU, and Quantity — all three are required

The required mapping fields for Send FR are: Fulfillment Request Number → Purchase Order Number, SKU, and Quantity. Without all three, the order submission will fail. Ship To address fields (Address Line 1, City, State, Postal Code, Country) are optional but strongly recommended for dropship orders. Use WPS-supported ShipVia codes in the Method mapping field.

API Token from WPS Dealer Portal — not your WPS website login

The API Token is generated in the WPS Dealer Portal under Account Settings or API Access. It is a long alphanumeric string separate from your WPS website username and password. If you cannot find the API Access section, search for "API Token" in the portal search bar, or contact your WPS dealer representative for help locating it. Never share the token publicly — it authenticates all WPS API calls.

WPS SKUs missing from inventory after GIP runs
Check: (1) confirm the SKU exists in the WPS source feed — verify in the WPS Catalog Manager or supplier portal; (2) go to the WPS integration Warehouses tab and confirm at least one warehouse that carries the SKU is enabled — if no warehouse is enabled, quantities default to 0 and SKUs may not appear; (3) if the SKU has no color or size attributes, confirm it imports as a stand-alone item after a GIP run; (4) if the SKU is still absent and has no size/color, contact Flxpoint Support with the SKU, a screenshot of the source feed row, and the last GIP run timestamp.
Previously working SKUs no longer appearing after the May 2025 update
The May 26, 2025 update changed how WPS items without both color and size are imported. Items that previously failed to import as parent-child products now import as stand-alone SKUs. If you had SKUs that were expected but missing, they should now appear after the next GIP run. If you already have WPS inventory built with the old structure, you may need to: archive current WPS inventory (Catalog → Inventory → Bulk Actions → Archive), run GIP to rebuild with the new logic, and re-enable any Listing or Pricing sync jobs after the rebuild finishes.
Quantities showing 0 for all WPS products
Zero quantities almost always mean no warehouse is selected. Open the WPS GIP or GIS settings and go to the Warehouses tab — enable at least one warehouse location (e.g., Ashley IN, Boise ID). Without a warehouse selection, WPS returns no quantity data. After enabling warehouses, re-run GIP manually and verify quantities appear for known in-stock SKUs before re-enabling automatic scheduling.
Send FR failing — invalid ShipVia code
WPS validates the ShipVia code against a fixed set. If you are sending a shipping method name (e.g., "FedEx 2 Day") instead of the WPS code (e.g., FE2D), the order will be rejected. Use a Mapping Set in the Send FR template to translate your Flxpoint shipping method names to the correct WPS ShipVia codes. Refer to the ShipVia code table in the FAQs above. If you are unsure which code to use, use BEST to allow WPS to select the optimal ground method.

What are the valid WPS ShipVia codes for Send Fulfillment Requests?
CodeDescription
AH2DFEDEX EXPRESS TWO DAY AIR ALASKA
BESTCheapest method possible
FE1DFedEx 1 Day (also known as 1 Day Standard)
FE2DFedEx 2 Day (also known as 2 Day Air)
UP1DUPS 1 Day Red
UP2DUPS 2 Day Blue
US1CUSPS Priority Mail (also known as Priority Mail Express)
US4CUSPS Parcel Post (also shown as Parcel or Parcel Post & Express)
Map these codes to the Ship Via field (Method) in your Send FR template. Use Cross Ship Via for the Carrier field.
What does GIP import from WPS and what optional fields are available?
GIP imports: SKU (Parent + Variant), Quantity (total + per-warehouse), Status (in stock), List Price → MSRP, Standard Dealer Price → Cost, UPC/GTIN, MPN, Weight (in kg), Dimensions (Width, Height, Length in cm), Brand, Primary Category, Sub Category, Title/Name, Description, and up to 100 Custom Fields. Note: WPS dimensions import in metric — convert to inches/lbs in your mapping if needed. Individual warehouse quantities (e.g., Ashley IN Quantity, Boise ID Quantity) are also mappable as separate fields.
How does WPS handle products with and without color/size variants?
When a WPS item has both size and color (e.g., 87-4446-BK-L): a parent SKU (87-4446) is created with a separate variant SKU (87-4446-BK-L). When an item has neither size nor color (e.g., WP87-4446): it imports as a stand-alone SKU where Parent SKU = Variant SKU = WP87-4446. This stand-alone behavior was introduced May 26, 2025. Custom mapping rules that reference parentSku or optionValues may need updating for stand-alone SKUs.
What does Get Shipments return from WPS?
Get Shipments retrieves: Order Number (required — links to FR), Tracking Number, Ship Via / Carrier, Ship Date, Order Status, Freight and Misc Charges, and item-level SKU, Ship Quantity, Back Order Quantity, and Price. Sync frequency is configurable (e.g., last 7 days). Use the Sync Frequency setting to limit shipment retrieval to recently modified orders.
