Summary
Merge, rename, restructure, and delete channel listing categories from the Channel Listings tab, and understand how deletes cascade to sub-categories.
OVERVIEW
Listing categories are managed the same way as product categories, but from the View Categories link on the Channel Listings tab. Your product categories are pushed here when you create listings. Category management is mostly useful for multi-channel sellers.
- Merge, rename, add, and restructure listing categories, just like product categories.
- Use the channel dropdown at the top to focus on one channel’s categories.
- Deleting a category also deletes the tiers beneath it.
DELETING CATEGORIES
Open View Categories from the Channel Listings tab, select the channel, and click the red trash icon. Review the prompt and type DELETE CATEGORY to confirm.
Note: Deletes cascade to sub-tiers. Deleting a parent category deletes its sub-categories too — for example, deleting Women’s Apparel also removes Tops and Bottoms beneath it. After deleting, Rebuild the products or use a bulk customization to repopulate categories.
