Import Listings
Summary
Import Listings brings active, published, and hidden listings from Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Magento into Flxpoint, matching by SKU only, so mismatched SKUs create duplicates and the import must be triggered manually since it cannot be scheduled.
Import Listings brings active listings from your sales channel into Flxpoint, creating matching listings and products. It is the reverse of building and publishing. Import Listings is visible on all channels but only supported on some.
- Import from the channel — Pulls active, published, and hidden listings into Flxpoint; skips archived and inactive.
- What transfers — Attributes and options, images, brands, categories, and descriptions. Quantity and pricing are captured only when a listing is first created; later runs do not update them.
- Set New Listings to Paused — Optionally freeze imported listings so you can connect sources before orders flow in.
- Manual only — The import cannot be scheduled; run it with Run Integration when you need it.
| Setting | Options / effect |
|---|---|
| Set New Listings to Paused | Freezes imported listings (no sync/publish, even if queued) until you unpause via Actions → Edit → Unpause. |
| Setting Your Master SKU | Use a field from your channel, or don't set one now (set later manually or with Import Master SKUs). |
| Product & Listing Management | Required. Controls what each run is allowed to create and update. Four options: Change feed (recommended), New products and listings, New listings, and Catalog refresh (not recommended). See Import options below. |
| Mapping template | Not used; Flxpoint routes imported data automatically, so no post-mapping workflow rules apply. |
Product & Listing Management is a required setting on the Import Listings integration. It controls what each run is allowed to create and update.
| Option | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Change feed (recommended) | Creates new products and listings and updates existing ones. Each run only fetches what changed on your channel since the last successful run, so runs stay fast. | Your everyday default. |
| New products and listings | Creates new products and new listings only. Existing Flxpoint records are left untouched. | When you have curated data in Flxpoint that the channel should not overwrite. |
| New listings | Creates new listings only. No products are created in your catalog, and existing records are not updated. | When your catalog is built from your sources and the channel should only contribute listings. |
| Catalog refresh (not recommended) | Creates new products and listings and updates all existing ones, re-reading your entire channel catalog. | One-off recovery after a bulk edit on the channel side. Expect a long-running job. |
Imported listings created duplicates
Because matching is on SKU only, any difference in SKU between Flxpoint and the channel produces a duplicate listing/product. Align SKUs before importing.
An existing channel product will not link and Publish tries to create it
If a channel product is not yet in Flxpoint's index, a built listing may fail to link and Publish can try to create a duplicate. Run Import Listings to bring the existing channel product into Flxpoint (matched by SKU) so it can be linked and overwritten instead.
Can I schedule Import Listings?
No. It is a manual integration; run it with Run Integration when you want to import.
What happens if I already have products and listings in Flxpoint?
Flxpoint matches imported items to existing ones by SKU. No SKU match creates a new listing or product.
Do I need a mapping template?
No. Import Listings routes data automatically, so mapping templates and post-mapping rules do not apply.
Which import option should I choose?
Change feed for almost every case: it only fetches what changed on your channel since the last successful run, and it keeps existing records current. Choose New products and listings or New listings when you have curated data in Flxpoint that the channel should not overwrite. Reserve Catalog refresh for one-off recovery after a bulk change on the channel side.
I changed a price and quantity on my channel and re-ran the import, but Flxpoint did not update them. Why?
Expected on every option, including Catalog refresh. Import Listings does not write price or quantity to existing listings, because those are aggregate fields owned by your Pricing & Quantity Strategies, which would replace the imported value on the next sync. Adjust price and quantity through your strategies instead.
Why is one of the import options greyed out?
The channel cannot support it, and the dropdown labels it (not supported for this channel). Change feed in particular needs the channel to filter by a last-modified date. Pick one of the selectable options, or contact support@flxpoint.com.
