HLC as a Source

July 17, 2026

Summary

HLC is a distributor of bicycles and cycling accessories, available as a source in Flxpoint for automated inventory and order fulfillment. The integration connects via API using either your HLC login credentials (Username + Password) or an HLC-issued Access Token — the same connection is reused across all operations. Get Inventory (Primary), Send Fulfillment Requests, and Get Shipments are supported; for operation-level mapping guidance contact support@flxpoint.com.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports HLC's full bicycle and cycling accessories catalog once daily.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends fulfillment requests (orders) to HLC for dropship fulfillment.
Get Shipments
Pulls HLC shipment carrier and tracking details back into Flxpoint.

HLC supports two connection types — use the one your HLC representative confirms for your account. Add an HLC source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the values, then Test ConnectionSave Connection. The same connection is reused across all HLC operations.

Option A — HLC Login (Username & Password)
UsernameRequired
Your HLC account username, as provided by HLC.
PasswordRequired
Your HLC account password.
CountryRequired
Your HLC account's country (e.g. US or Canada) — selects the matching regional catalog for your account.
LanguageRequired
Language used for HLC responses and any shipping documents HLC generates for your orders.
Option B — HLC API (Access Token)
Access TokenRequired
Your HLC API access token, issued by HLC. Use this connection type if HLC has provisioned direct API access for your account instead of login credentials.
CountryRequired
Your HLC account's country (e.g. US or Canada) — selects the matching regional catalog for your account.
LanguageRequired
Language used for HLC responses and any shipping documents HLC generates for your orders.
Both connection types share the same Country and Language settings, and the connection is reused across all HLC operations — you only configure it once. For extended operation setup and field mapping beyond connection, contact support@flxpoint.com.

HLC credentials (login or API) required — obtain before configuring

The New HLC Connection screen accepts your HLC login credentials or API credentials as provided by HLC. These are separate from any HLC dealer website login. Contact your HLC account representative to confirm which credential type is required for your account and to request API access if needed. Without valid credentials, Test Connection will fail.

For extended operation details and mapping guidance, contact Flxpoint Support

The HLC integration documentation covers connection setup only. For field mapping recommendations, required Send FR fields, or Get Shipments configuration specific to HLC's API response format, contact support@flxpoint.com.

GIP daily for full catalog; GIS more frequently for price and quantity updates

Run Get Inventory Primary once daily to import the full HLC bicycle and accessories catalog. Use Get Inventory Secondary on a more frequent schedule (hourly or every few hours) to keep prices and quantities current between full catalog runs. Enable Archive/Un-Archive on one job only — enabling it on both GIP and GIS simultaneously creates conflicting archive states.

Test a single manual order before enabling automatic Send FR scheduling

Before scheduling automatic order sending, run one manual Fulfillment Request and confirm the order is received correctly at HLC. At minimum, map SKU, Quantity, and a complete ship-to address. Run a single order manually first — bicycle and cycling accessories shipments may have specific carrier or packaging requirements that affect accepted shipping method codes.

Test Connection failing — credentials incorrect or API access not enabled
If Test Connection fails: (1) re-enter credentials exactly as provided by HLC — check for leading/trailing spaces; (2) confirm with HLC whether your account uses login credentials or API key/token credentials (the New HLC Connection screen supports both); (3) if credentials were recently issued, allow a few minutes before retrying; (4) verify your HLC account has API or integration access enabled — some dealer tiers require a separate request to enable API connectivity. Contact Flxpoint Support at support@flxpoint.com with the error message if the issue persists.
GIP running but no products or catalog data importing
If GIP runs without error but source inventory remains empty: (1) confirm a Mapping Template is selected for the GIP operation — without a template, no data is written to the inventory pool; (2) verify SKU and Quantity are mapped in the template; (3) if Archive/Un-Archive is on, check whether products are being archived immediately (archive on GIP should only be enabled if HLC is your primary inventory source); (4) review the integration job log for field-level warnings. If no clear cause is found, contact Flxpoint Support with the job log.

How do I set up the HLC connection in Flxpoint?
Go to Sources → + Add Source and follow the Source Wizard to create a Vendor Warehouse source. After saving, go to Integrations → Get Inventory → Start Creating Integrations and select HLC. On the New HLC Connection screen, enter a Connection Name and your HLC credentials (login or API credentials as provided by HLC). Click Test Connection, then Save Connection. The same connection is reused across all HLC operations — you do not need to re-enter credentials for each operation.
What operations does HLC support?
HLC supports: Get Inventory Primary (full catalog import), Get Inventory Secondary (delta price and quantity updates), Send Fulfillment Requests (order submission), and Get Shipments (tracking retrieval). For specific field mapping guidance on any of these operations — including required fields for Send FR and what HLC returns in shipment responses — contact Flxpoint Support at support@flxpoint.com.
