JBI as a Source

July 17, 2026

Summary

JBI is a distributor of books and media products, available in Flxpoint as a dropship source for sending orders. The integration connects over FTP, SFTP, or FTPS (as specified by JBI) and delivers Fulfillment Requests to JBI as order files. For operation-level setup and mapping guidance, contact support@flxpoint.com.

Send Fulfillment Requests

JBI connects over FTP, SFTP, or FTPS — use the protocol JBI specifies for your account. Add JBI as a source, start configuring Send Fulfillment Requests, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the values, then Test ConnectionSave Connection.

FTP ProtocolRequired
The protocol to use — FTP, SFTP, or FTPS — as specified by JBI for your account.
HostRequired
The JBI FTP server hostname, provided by JBI.
PortRequired
The FTP port for the connection. Default is 21 for FTP and 22 for SFTP, as provided by JBI.
UserRequired

Supports FTP, SFTP, and FTPS — use the protocol JBI specifies for your account

The New JBI Connection screen allows you to select FTP, SFTP, or FTPS as the protocol. Default port is 21 for FTP and 22 for SFTP. All credentials (Host, Port, User, Password) are provided by JBI — they are separate from any JBI website or account portal login.

FTPS 534 SSL errors — enable Use Unbuffered Private Data Channel in Advanced Settings

If Test Connection fails with a 534 SSL policy error when using FTPS, open Advanced Settings and enable Use Unbuffered Private Data Channel. Do not enable this for standard FTP connections — FTPS only. Maintain Constant Connection is also available in Advanced Settings if needed.

FTP Test Connection failing — 534 SSL error or invalid credentials
For FTPS 534 SSL errors: go to Advanced Settings → enable Use Unbuffered Private Data Channel → re-test. For authentication failures: verify Host, Port, User, and Password exactly as provided by JBI. If using SFTP, confirm port is 22. If credentials are correct but connection still fails, confirm with JBI that FTP access is provisioned and active for your account.

How do I set up the JBI connection in Flxpoint?
Go to Sources → + Add Source and complete the Source Wizard (Vendor Warehouse recommended). After saving, go to Integrations → Get Inventory → Start Creating Integrations and select JBI. On the New JBI Connection screen, configure: Connection Name, FTP Protocol (FTP, SFTP, or FTPS), FTP Host, FTP Port, FTP User, and FTP Password — all provided by JBI. Expand Advanced Settings if needed for FTPS. Click Test Connection, then Save Connection.
