HomeRoots as a Source
Summary
HomeRoots is a home furnishings and decor wholesale supplier available as a source in Flxpoint for automated inventory management and dropship order fulfillment. The integration connects via FTP (Basic Auth) using Host, Port, User and Password credentials provided by HomeRoots, and runs Get Inventory Primary (full catalog import), Get Inventory Secondary (pricing/quantity refresh), Send Fulfillment Requests, and Get Shipments. HomeRoots specializes in furniture, lighting, rugs, wall art and home accessories β expect large product catalogs with rich content including multiple images, dimensions and detailed attribute sets, plus freight/LTL shipping for oversized items. For specific credential requirements and advanced configuration, contact support@flxpoint.com.
HomeRoots connects over FTP (Basic Auth). Add a HomeRoots source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the values, then Test Connection → Save Connection. Send Fulfillment Requests uses a separate outbound connection to a different remote folder on the same FTP account.
support@flxpoint.com.Expect large catalog sizes — GIP may take significant time on first run
HomeRoots carries an extensive home furnishings catalog. The first GIP run imports the full catalog and may take longer than typical sources. Plan the initial run for off-peak hours. Subsequent GIS runs will be faster as they only fetch price and quantity deltas. Do not interrupt GIP mid-run — partial imports can leave orphaned products in your source inventory.
FTP credentials come from HomeRoots — obtain before configuring
Connection credentials are provided directly by HomeRoots. Contact your HomeRoots account representative or their wholesale support team to request FTP access. Without valid credentials, Test Connection will fail and no data can be imported. For additional credential or configuration questions, contact Flxpoint Support at support@flxpoint.com.
Home furnishings may include freight/LTL shipping — confirm ShipVia codes with HomeRoots
Large furniture and home goods items from HomeRoots may ship via freight carriers (LTL) rather than parcel carriers. When mapping Send Fulfillment Requests, confirm with HomeRoots which ShipVia codes or carrier methods are valid for your account. Sending an unsupported shipping method code will cause order rejection. For items with freight requirements, your shipping address mapping should include all required fields.
Enable Archive/Un-Archive on one inventory job only — not both GIP and GIS
Enabling Archive/Un-Archive on both GIP and GIS simultaneously creates conflicts. Configure it on GIP only. Use GIS for more frequent quantity and pricing refreshes. Given the size of HomeRoots' catalog, enabling archiving on GIS could cause mass-archiving if the delta feed returns only a subset of SKUs.
