S&S Activewear as a Source

July 20, 2026

Summary

S&S Activewear is a wholesale distributor of blank apparel — T-shirts, hoodies, polos, and accessories — for screen printing, embroidery, and promotional product use. One connection (Account Number + API Key) powers Get Inventory (Primary) for the full catalog, Send Fulfillment Requests, and Get Shipments. Customer pricing is account-specific and requires your S&S account to have API customer pricing enabled — without it, Cost imports empty or falls back to Piece Price.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports S&S Activewear's full apparel catalog with pricing and images.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends orders to S&S Activewear for dropship fulfillment.
Get Shipments
Pulls S&S Activewear tracking, carrier, and ship date back.

S&S Activewear uses a single API (Account Number + API Key) connection. Add an S&S Activewear source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter your Account Number and API Key, then Test ConnectionSave Connection.

Account NumberRequired
Your S&S Activewear dealer account number.
API KeyRequired
Your S&S Activewear API key, provided by your S&S representative.
Confirm your S&S account has API customer pricing enabled before your first Get Inventory run — without it, Cost imports empty or falls back to Piece Price. For extended field-mapping guidance, contact support@flxpoint.com.

Customer pricing imports empty unless API customer pricing is enabled on your S&S account

S&S Activewear pricing is account-specific (contracted dealer price). If your account is not approved for API access for customer pricing, the Cost field imports empty or falls back to Piece Price — Flxpoint margins will not reflect your real contracted rates. To fix: log into your S&S dealer account, confirm API customer pricing access is enabled, and if not, contact your S&S Activewear representative to request enrollment. After enablement, re-run GIP — no additional Flxpoint configuration is needed.

colorGroupName and styleName attributes added May 2026 — re-run GIP to backfill

Two new attributes — colorGroupName and styleName — began importing via the S&S API in May 2026. If affected SKUs are missing these attributes, re-run Get Inventory Primary for those SKUs to backfill. For WooCommerce stores, confirm the global attribute name matches the imported value: pa_color-groupcolorGroupName. Mismatched attribute names will prevent correct taxonomy linking.

Map Style → Parent SKU to group variants under one parent product

S&S products come in multiple size/color variants of the same garment style. To group all variants under a single parent product in Flxpoint, map the S&S Style field → Parent SKU in your GIP mapping template. Without this mapping, variants will not group and each size/color combination will appear as a standalone product.

Send FR rejected most often due to unrecognized shipping method code

The most common Send FR failure with S&S Activewear is an unrecognized shipping method code. Verify your mapped shipping method value matches an S&S-accepted code. Also confirm the ship-to address is complete (US street + city + state + ZIP) — PO boxes are often rejected. If a SKU is rejected, re-run GIP first to ensure the SKU exists in the S&S catalog, then retry the order.

Cost importing as empty or zero
This is the most common S&S Activewear issue. Cause: your S&S account is not approved for API customer pricing. Fix: (1) log into your S&S dealer account and confirm API access for customer pricing is enabled; (2) if not enabled, contact your S&S Activewear representative to request enrollment; (3) after enablement, refresh your API Key in the S&S portal, update the Flxpoint connection, and re-run GIP. No other Flxpoint configuration is needed once API customer pricing access is granted — costs will appear automatically on the next run.
colorGroupName or styleName attributes missing from products
These attributes began importing in May 2026. If they are absent on existing SKUs: re-run Get Inventory Primary for those SKUs — the attributes will backfill on the next GIP run. For WooCommerce stores, if the pa_color-group global attribute doesn't link correctly, confirm the global attribute slug in WooCommerce matches the imported attribute name (colorGroupName). The integration sets Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) as a WooCommerce global attribute by default; confirm your WooCommerce settings don't override this if you need MPN as a global.
Variants not grouping under a parent product
If each size/color variation of a garment appears as a separate standalone product instead of grouping under a parent, the Style → Parent SKU mapping is missing from your GIP mapping template. Edit the GIP mapping template: find the Parent SKU field and map it to S&S's Style field. Save the template and re-run GIP — variants will regroup under their parent style on the next run. This mapping is critical for creating the correct parent-child product structure in Flxpoint.
Send FR rejected by S&S — order not processing
Most common causes: (1) unrecognized shipping method code — confirm the mapped shipping method uses an S&S-accepted carrier code, not a generic label; (2) incomplete ship-to address — complete US address required (street + city + state + ZIP); PO boxes are often rejected; (3) SKU not found — the SKU on the order must match an S&S variant SKU exactly; re-run GIP to refresh SKUs if needed. Check the FR status in Flxpoint — if it did not move to "Sent," also review Hold-for-X-Hours and Business-Hours settings on the Send FR job.

What product attributes does GIP import from S&S Activewear?
GIP imports: SKU (variant), Style (parent grouping → map to Parent SKU), Title (product title + Style Name), Description, Brand (e.g., Gildan, Bella + Canvas, Next Level), Color, Color Group Name (colorGroupName — added May 2026), Material, Size, Condition, Gender, Style Name (styleName — added May 2026), Quantity (summed across selected warehouses), Customer Price → Cost, Piece Price → MSRP, GTIN → UPC, MPN, and Images (front, back, side angles). Only simple products — variations/options as a separate product model are not supported.
What does GIS (Secondary) update and how does it differ from GIP?
GIS re-pulls Customer Price → Cost, Piece Price → MSRP, and Quantity per warehouse between full GIP runs. It reuses the same API connection and writes only delta updates (cost, MSRP, quantity) — catalog-level fields (titles, descriptions, images, attribute set) only update via GIP. Match warehouse selection between GIP and GIS. Disable Archive/Un-Archive on GIS if GIP already has it active — enabling it on both creates conflicts. Run GIS hourly; GIP daily.
How does Get Shipments work for S&S Activewear and are partial shipments supported?
Get Shipments retrieves tracking data via the S&S API using the same connection. Fields returned: Order ID / PO Number (to match back to the FR), Tracking Number, Carrier (UPS/FedEx/USPS), Ship Date, and per-SKU line items shipped. Partial shipments are supported — S&S can ship in multiple shipments and Flxpoint appends each as it appears. A prior bug caused some S&S shipments to fail importing tracking when a shipment was returned as a list rather than a single record — this has been fixed and is live in production. If old shipments failed, re-run Get Shipments to import previously missed tracking.
