The Wholesale House as a Source

July 20, 2026

Summary

The Wholesale House is a general merchandise and consumer goods distributor available as a source in Flxpoint. The integration connects via a single FTP-based connection using credentials provided by The Wholesale House and runs Get Inventory (Primary for the full catalog, Secondary for frequent pricing/quantity refreshes), Send Fulfillment Requests, and Get Shipments. For operation-level mapping guidance contact support@flxpoint.com.

Get Inventory (Primary)
Imports The Wholesale House's full catalog — run once daily. Brings in products, descriptions, pricing and per-warehouse quantity.
Get Inventory (Secondary)
A lighter, more frequent refresh of pricing and quantity only, to keep cost and stock current between daily full runs.
Send Fulfillment Requests
Sends orders (Fulfillment Requests) to The Wholesale House for dropship fulfillment.
Get Shipments
Pulls The Wholesale House shipment confirmations — ship date, carrier and tracking — back into Flxpoint.

The Wholesale House connects via a single connection type. Add a Wholesale House source, start configuring an operation, and when Flxpoint prompts you click + New Connection, enter the values provided by The Wholesale House, then Test ConnectionSave Connection. The same connection is reused across all operations (GIP, GIS, Send FR, Get Shipments).

HostRequired
The Wholesale House FTP server hostname, provided by The Wholesale House.
PortOptional — defaults to 21
The FTP port for the connection. Uses port 21 if left blank.
UserRequired
Your Wholesale House FTP username, provided by The Wholesale House.
PasswordRequired
Your Wholesale House FTP password, provided by The Wholesale House.
Credentials are provisioned directly by The Wholesale House — separate from any website login. Contact your Wholesale House account representative to request access before configuring the integration. For extended operation setup and field mapping beyond connection, contact support@flxpoint.com.

FTP credentials come from The Wholesale House — obtain before configuring

The connection requires FTP credentials provided directly by The Wholesale House. These are separate from any website login. Contact your Wholesale House account representative or their support team to request API access credentials before setting up the integration in Flxpoint. Without valid credentials, Test Connection will fail.

Extended documentation for this integration — including specific mapping template recommendations, required fields for Send FR, and Get Shipments configuration — is available from Flxpoint Support. Email support@flxpoint.com with your account details and the operations you need to configure.

GIP runs the full catalog — GIS handles delta quantity and pricing updates

Get Inventory Primary imports the full Wholesale House product catalog including SKUs, titles, descriptions, pricing, and quantities. Get Inventory Secondary is a faster delta job for refreshing quantities and pricing without re-importing catalog data. Run GIP daily and GIS more frequently (hourly or every few hours) to keep stock levels current. Enable Archive/Un-Archive on one job only.

Test a single manual order before enabling automatic Send FR scheduling

Before enabling automatic order sending, run a single manual Fulfillment Request to verify your mapping template is correctly configured — particularly SKU, Quantity, and shipping address fields. Confirm the order appears correctly on The Wholesale House's side before scheduling automatic sends.

Test Connection failing — FTP credentials incorrect or not yet provisioned
If Test Connection fails, verify: (1) FTP credentials are entered exactly as provided by The Wholesale House — watch for extra spaces or incorrect capitalization; (2) if credentials were recently issued, allow a few minutes for them to activate; (3) confirm with The Wholesale House that API access is enabled for your account tier — not all account types include API access by default. If credentials appear correct and the test still fails, contact The Wholesale House support to confirm your API access is active.
Send FR failing or orders not appearing at The Wholesale House
Common causes: (1) required mapping fields are missing — confirm SKU, Quantity, and ship-to address fields (Address Line 1, City, State/Province, Postal Code, Country) are all mapped and non-empty; (2) FTP credentials may have changed — re-test the connection; (3) run a single manual order first and verify it appears on The Wholesale House's side before enabling automatic scheduling. For specific error messages or rejected orders, contact Flxpoint Support with your job log details.
